Lasting until the 5th of July, Gears of War 2 will be hosting an insane XP bonus weekend for online-play. Most games do a double XP shebang and others might do a triple XP event, but Epic Games have launched a jaw-dropping 21-times XP multiplier for their online matches. Why 21? Epic's Joe Graf celebrates his 42nd birthday this weekend and was coy enough to cut his age in half for the players to enjoy. Why not a 42 times XP multiplier? Because even Epic knows the limits of ridiculousness.
In addition, Epic has tweaked the amount of ammo you get (four times as much) for the Hammer of Dawn, tickers, boomers, mortar weapons and flaming bloodmounts. Go and make explosions now.
